iCanHearU was created in MEDL Mobile’s App Incubator. The idea was submitted by Andy Schupbach, originally an auto worker in Detroit but now an airline mechanic in Chicago.
Andy’s father is hard of hearing and he thought that it would be a great idea to turn an iPhone into a hearing aid to help out his dad.

HOW IT WORKS
The app simply picks up the noises audible to the iPhone’s very sensitive microphone and relays them at a higher volume through the headphones. The app works quite well. By using it, you’ll be able to pick up on things you might normally miss.
LOTS OF USES
Use it out in nature to pick up sounds that most of us never even perceive.
Use it in the back of the classroom to hear the teacher, and to pick up on the gossip going down a few aisles away.

iCanHearU app good for
It amplifies sound effectively - great for those with a hearing problem Volume bar doesnt control level of sound, but volume control on phone does. One suggestion: Please give ability to darken the screen. Constant flashing of volume is distracting and wastes battery. Thank you.
This app works great does everything it says. Recommend it to everyone
works as advertised but doesnt support background multitasking and doesnt have full-screen for iphone 5
Its a cool app but it has 2 problems that a noticed. The first one might be my headphones but the right earpiece does not work with this app. However I did notice after a tried this, my music did have the right earpiece work. The second problem is that there is a lot of static when I turn the volume high. If you fix these as best you can, I will rate this 5 stars and tell my family to download and rate well. I would recommend this app to anyone who moderate or bad hearing problems or people who eavesdrop.
So I love this app. I used it to hear what my clients were saying when I walked away and was able to alter my plan of attack from there! It saved me big time!
This app helps a lot in my giant lecture hall classes. The teacher has an accent and its a little hard to hear him in the far back rows. So I set it on my desk the other day with one ear piece in and it helped a lot! Thanks
Some bad moments
Only works on one earphone. The left to be exact. Whats the pint in that? Useless!
When I turn it on I get like a high pitch sound .. Very nerve racking

Nope. Doesnt do the trick. Cant hear a thing. My own breathing was hardily even audible. I had to blow directly into my mic to know it was on. Lol Fail.
This App has failed the world of ease droppers or as I prefer to call it, "audio-dynamic researchers". Inquisitive minds need 2 know what the world around us has to say. Lol This App has no respect for the cause. -_- Boooo!
If you are going to develop an app, make one that works! Only has sound that comes out of one ear bud. That sound is mostly noise. If you want to hear better just turn up the TV volume, move to the front of class, etc. This app is a waste of your time to download and the waste of a buck. It doesnt deserve a rating.
I can hear the audio from both sides, that is if you like HISSING. Not able to hear better with it, i-hear free is better and also free.
Waste of time and space to download! Cant hear a thing! Not only that, but cannot adjust the volume at all! Its set and stuck at -21.
